Early in 2014, a discussion was sparked in the PLAAY Games Delphi Forum about the possibility of creating all-time franchise great teams for HOCKEY BLAST Pro Hockey Game. Frank Albidone championed the cause through his newsletter column, "Frankly Speaking," and with the help of hockey fans Jim Woods, Vinny Mancini, Matt Kulikoski and Mike Owens, this set came together. The card set includes full teams of all-time great players, 24 for each team, representing the original six pro clubs and six historic pro franchises added in the '60s and '70s: Pittsburgh, Edmonton, Philadelphia, St. Louis, New York's Long Island club, and Buffalo.
