Welcome to the second season of the new, better-than-ever 2023-24 Basketball League of America for Highlight Maker Pro Hoops Game! We're excited to have you join us on your own personal pro basketball league experience.
We've maintained last year's array of twelve teams, they're again identified by team number in the lower right-hand corner of the card. There've been some changes in team fortune heading into the new season--we'll let you discover them on your own!
Many of the mainstay players from last year's debut season are back again for another round of pro hoops excitement. Xavier Etter, Keeyan Brockington, Emmanuel Abudur-Rahim, Yaw Staveskie and Dallas Butler are just a few.
The BLAM coaching ranks have been altered somewhat, three of last year's coaches weren't offered new contracts: Cliff Cronin, Terry Tolentino and Kelly Rupp. Delmer Crowder retired. We've added four new coaches to the pool: Blake Birdsall (demanding, abrasive), Dom Percoraro (a college coach, hi-achiever), Liam Hendred (shrewd, new-era game manager) and Kevin Latimer (former player). If you're new to BLAM, be aware that we don't assign coaches to specific teams--that's up to you!
New for 2023-24, we've created optional specific team identities! For a small premium (no extra charge in the PDF version), you can have your league re-cast in our full-color template. Our objective in adding depth to the BLAM experience is similar to what we've done with our fictional baseball and football leagues. We see BLAM as an alternate pro hoops league to the real-life NBA, so we focused on cities which currently host professional sports--but not pro basketball. In some cases, these cities hosted teams in past years, in which vase the color schemes we chose may reflect that cities past pro heritage. Other cities are new hoops territory.
While virtually all of the big stars from the league's inaugural season return in this card set, there are almost two-dozen all new players. And, it's a truly EPIC rookie class. Get ready to be amazed by the sudden emergence of young stars like Quadry Vaughns, Diego Dockery, Tichyque Wheeler, Kordi Deadwyler and Solomon Threatt.
