Highlights of the 2007-08 Pro Season

• Boston steamrolls through regular season (66 wins) then completes a grueling playoff run, turning back Atlanta (seven games), Cleveland (six games), Detroit (six games) and Los Angeles (six games).

• Boston's run helped by acquisition of all-star Kevin Garnett from Minnesota, for whom they traded seven players--largest one-player swap in league history.

• Golden State finished 48-34 and 9th place in West, best club in modern era to miss the playoffs.

• Houston wins 22 consecutive games (JAN-FEB-MAR), fourth-longest winning streak in league history. Aside from that streak, the club was a modest 33-27.

• Hornets return full-time to New Orleans after two seasons in Oklahoma City (Hurricane Katrina), paving the way for Seattle's relocation to OKC--final year for Sonics in Seattle, finishing 20-62.

• Kobe Bryant named league MVP, LeBron James wins the scoring title (30.0 points per game), Kevin Durant named Rookie of the Year, Kevin Garnett top defensive player, Byron Scott Coach of the Year.

• LeBron James surpasses 10,000 points (in February), youngest player to do so in league history.
