2021 Men's Pro Bowling Stars

Exciting news: Our 2021 bowling release is actually TWO card sets! There's the men's pro tour, for which we've been creating cards since 2002, which this year includes 88 carded pros. AND for the first time, we've created cards for the burgeoning women's pro bowling scene--83 sanctioned pro women bowlers are represented in their own 2021 Women's Pro Stars set! Together, that's 171 of the world's best keglers, ready to show their stuff on YOUR tabletop! The sets are available separately, or can be purchased together!

We've added a new wrinkle for 2021 Pro Bowling Stars sets: each bowler's card now includes a usage symbol, so you can regulate the number of appearances bowlers make on your tabletop to better correlate with what they did in real life. Specifically, we wanted to ensure that bowlers who performed strongly over just a few events didn't overshadow the tour's most popular pros. We borrowed the symbols hierarchy from our baseball game, they're easy to understand and fully explained in the card set liner notes.

The global pandemic affected pro bowling as it did every other sport. The men's 2020 pro tour was abbreviated and the women's was cancelled altogether. We've made a number of COVID sets over the past six months (baseball, football, NASCAR, etc.) and they do present challenges from statistical and playability standpoints. Based on our experience, we decided to take a different approach with this new set of professional bowlers. Instead of being based on a single, specific pro bowling season, we used cumulative data set from the past three seasons. For men, it's 2018-2020; for the women, it's 2017-2019. We feel like this is an interesting, realistic card set that will produce a plausible depiction of the current professional bowling scene and at the same time extend the playing lifetime of your cards.

With the 2021 Pro Stars for BOWL-O-RAMA, the world's top pros are available whenever you're ready to watch them hit the lanes! From casual one-off games to a meticulously-organized full-season schedule, it's big-time bowling thrills whenever the mood hits! Hold your own championship season with an official format that's patterned after the real pro association, or create a modified format of your own choosing. The real pro league typically holds a couple dozen sanctioned events each year, but you can structure your league to meet your own schedule.

Or, instead of the traditional tournament format, you can use the cards to set up your own professional bowling league! The real-life pro tour expanded its sponsored league format to twelve teams, including two new women's teams. (The way the pro tour does it, the entire "season" is filmed over a weekend, and then re-broadcast in weekly segments, but that won't be a factor in your table-top league!) Rosters are provided with your cards, but feel free to create your OWN league, populated however you want!
